Tax-deductible donations may be made to Written on the Body through the International Documentary Association's Fiscal Sponsorship Program, who act as a fiscal sponsor to the project. The International Documentary Association (IDA) has been in existence since 1982. Its Fiscal Sponsorship Program is a tool that allows filmmakers to use IDA's 501(c)(3) nonprofit status to fundraise. This status enables donors, wishing to support a documentary film, to receive the tax benefit of making a charitable donation. MAKING A DONATION ONLINE Secure credit card donations (Visa, MasterCard and American Express) may be made to Written on the Body through Paypal via the IDA website. To donate online, click here. MAKING A DONATION BY CHECK You may also make a donation by check. Check donations must be: 1- made out to the International Documentary Association (or IDA) 2- include the project title "Written on the Body" on the check, preferably in the memo line. NOTE: It is critical to include the project title on your check. ( Failure to do so could result in funds being applied incorrectly, or returned to the donor.) This method is prefered so that we can track donations made by check, send confirmation to you, and confirm that your donation has been applied correctly by the IDA. The signed credit card pledge form should be mailed to the address above, or faxed to Amy Halpin at 213-534-3610. The IDA cannot accept credit card information via email or over the phone. PLEASE NOTE: All donations are tax deductible as permitted by law. The IDA will send a tax receipt for donations of $250 and over.
